Photo Processing (on the iPad)

Yeah, I've been in a few of these threads so, sorry.

Assuming that--from previous replies--there is no way to edit RAW on the iPad, we are left with processing a JPG, I guess. Otherwise, I am guessing one might exceed the allowable sizes if one could edit in loseless TIF.

But correct me if I am wrong:

If we pull a JPG onto the iPad, there is the FIRST compression of the image.

Then we "massage" it on the iPad. We have to save this processed image. There is the SECOND save of the image.

Then we copy this off to our PC/Mac. If we export out any smaller (or larger version) of this image, there is the THIRD compression of the image.

It sure would be nice if we could edit RAW and have the file preserved as LR does it (no changes to the file itself) and then port those off to the workstation. Then, we would have NO compressed saves at that point.

In retrospect, what we need is full version of LR on the iPad !
