Mine's would be the:
24-70 f/2.8 Nikkor. It's slow, has a tiny room range and is too bulky.
After shooting with the 24-70mm f/2.8G for over a few years now, I'm still madly in love with it. It has been a near-constant companion, my favorite lens.
I had been shooting it on a DX camera (D300), so was getting the 35mm-equivalent 36-105 range. On the D300 there were times that, like you, I also felt it slow.
Then I picked up a D4. It was like falling in love with this lens all over again. Of course, it got substantially wider on the low end. (I do miss what crop did for it on the long end.) And the D4's low-light ability makes an f/2.8 (in terms of shutter flexibility) more like a large-aperture prime for me (compared to the D300).
At the moment, I don't have a lens that bores the crap out of me, but I find myself using my Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED the least.
