I see finances are in the way but the D200 and D80 have the same sensor.... many same features... but the D80 is cheaper.

I too used the D80 for weddings... with a little soft fill flash it worked great.
Outdoors it was excellent.

You mentioned you like the CCD images.
I happen to agree.

I always read the D80 metering wasn't as good and was afraid of blowing out highlighting all the time....Honestly, I'm not sure what it means to say a camera doesn't "meter" well. I thought it meant the highlights.
