Can we please put this misconception to rest? It doesn't help that sites like this one continually perpetuate the myth, and I'm not speaking solely about forum members; I'm talking about the site itself and its 'reviews', etc.

When comparing the performance of a 12MP sensor to a 36MP sensor, the 12MP file needs to be up-rezzed to 36MP. Funny what happens when you do that!
