just run them through DPP with the default to get the JPEG...

That was my workflow when storage was more expensive. Convert all to jpeg and keep the raws of the good ones. Now I rarely make jpegs, and the camera is set to raw only, no jpeg slowing it down. I wish DPP had a raw slide show function and the quick check drops the crop, why?

Jpegs lose a lot of punch compared to 12 - 14 bit raws but they were a necessary
evil in the past.
