Thanks for all your replys. Some were very interesting indeed.
sorry its taken so long i've been away and wifi was almost zero usable lol.

Whats making things hard is not because i dont know what i want but the opposite. What im after is a general lens like an 18-105/135. I also want a 70-200 for portrait work at some point in the future. As for the body i want something robust, with ovf for studio lighting, good battery life. Weather sealing would be an added bonus.

If i go with 600D and kit 18-55/135 which is a lesser body i can get the 70-200 straight away.

If i go 60D with a kit lens i get a better body with more direct buttons , but i cant afford the 70-200.

If i go K5 i get mag/alloy body weather sealing with a weather sealed kit lens. Again tho i'd need to wait awhile before getting the other lens (50-135 in this case). Cheers Paul UK

There is a lot of value in the K5 right now. Body is going for under $1000 on amazon.com in the USA.

I also highly recommend the DFA 100mm WR f2.8 Macro. it is just a fun lens and weather resistant to boot.

These Three shots on the K200d.
