CA in Nikkor 24-70/2.8? Zoom Ring Problems solved?

I have a D800E on order and my plan is to also order the Nikkor 24-70/2.8 and the Nikkor 70-200/2,8 VRII.

Now after reading this, it made me hesitate on the Nikkor 24-70/2.8:

"Chromatic aberrations (color shadows at harsh contrast transitions) are a weak spot of this lens, at least at the lower focal lengths."

Is this "zoom ring problem" really solved by now?

IS Ca a real problem at 24-28mm?
