Sensor Replacement

I intended to buy a Fuji X10, but was taken aback by the orb issue. I guess sensors in newer cameras are newer ones, not affected by this issue. But:

1. How could I know if a camera, from no-matter-what dealer is from the newer batch, with new sensors, or from the older one?

2. Has someone tested yet a camera with the sensor replaced, so we could figure out the improvements done to the newer sensor?

3. Shouldn't newly produced cameras have an indicator whatsoever, attesting that it has this newer sensor? Something like X10.1?

Maybe you have some cues or some thinks to share ...
