Tripod recommendations for D800

I have a Promaster SystemPro T525P 5-section, carbon fiber leg set that cost me $300 from Idaho Camera.

I have a Manfrotto MH054M0-Q2 054 large ballhead that cost me $200 from Amazon when I bought it, but BH Photo currently has it for less than $150.
The combination, including the quick release plate is 1662 grams.
With the ballhead folded down, the total collapsed length is 46 cm.

Stiffness is surprisingly good for a 5 section, and with a D90 with 55-300mm it can settle out vibrations in about a second.

I have seen a lot of praise of the Really Right Stuff heads, and you may want to look into that. For myself, I just happen to have too much invested in tripods with Manfrotto Q2 compatible heads to be motivated to consider switching.
