Finally A Jet: A-10 Warthog with D4 and 200-400 VRI

Well the good news is that I was finally able to try out the D4 shooting what I love, which is airplanes. The bad news is the weather was awful. I haven't seen a sunny shooting day since the thing arrived. Maybe it is a great camera that offended the weather Gods!!! Wow. And today, when I can't shoot, not a cloud in the sky.

Still lots to get used to on the camera. Still haven't decided what focus mode I liked the best. Tended to use 9 point and 21 point the most. 3D, which is great for planes in the sky and tracks them well, in my opinion is pretty useless when there is any cluttered background like when the planes are on the ground and moving and I also don't like how you can't specify where the first focal point will be.
