That would be assuming something is indeed wrong. It could well be a normal and harmless phenomenon. Just like the rattlesnake with some bright Panasonic lenses on an Olympus body.

I guess some people are more sensitive to that kind of noise. When I first used the 20mm pancake on the E-PL1 I did notice the rattlesnake, but it never occurred to me that it could be broken. Turned out it wasn't and it never bothers me at all.
