Question for Macro Shooters
Mar 31, 2012
|
I have been getting into shooting macro... have a few questions for those with 1st hand experience...
1. Reverse lens.. I can get a cheap adapter... what old OM lens do you use reversed? I have an old 75-150 F4.... good enough, or should I look for something different? I would love to get a OM 135/4.5... but those are a hefty price for now....
2. Flash set up? I am currently using an old Sunpak 383 with a fotodiox diffusor powered by my Flashwave III trigger/receiver... but all the extra movements to the side getting the flash close enough is enough to scare the bugs off!
I realize I may have to jury rig a flash get up so when I bug hunt, I have something powerful enough and diffused that's attached to the camera so I only have one moving component... the camera... suggestions?
3. Tips for me?
Appreciate the help here.
