SX40 vs 60D with Tamron 18-270 PZD

I'm an ultra-light traveler (11 Lbs carry-on baggage only) and do mainly street candids at 120-430 mm (35mm equiv.), monuments and landscape. I currently shoot JPG in Av with a SX10, rarely print my photos and use them mainly on the web at 1920x1200 at max.

I feel it's time to upgrade, so regarding lens quality/resolution/distortion/aberration, which one would give better IQ:

SX40?...
...or 60D with Tamron 18-270 PZD?

I can't find anywhere that compares the SX40 lens to Tamron 18-270 PZD. Would it be a little/much better/worse than 60D kit lens? A little/much worse than L zoom lens?
