Is D800 AF the same in DX and FX modes?

Assuming same or similar lenses of course.

After excessive reading of posts, I know I probably don't need the 36 Mp over my D 7000, but if the AF is better in both DX and Fx modes, the versatility is perhaps enough of a reason to rationalize the expense...
