Photoshop CS5.1 help please

I need help with digitally pasting an image of a wine label onto a photograph of a wine bottle. Imagine that you are looking at a wine bottle square on from the front. The label now seems to get more compressed vertically as you move outwards from the centre (iow left and right from the center). The label I need to apply to the image of the bottle is from a graphic design package and in visually flat. How can I compress the image of the label vertically in Photoshop CS5.1 (not the extended version) so the it looks real when pasted on to a photograph of a bottle. I feel that there must be a simple way to compress the label exponencially from the centre outwards but have not been able to find a way to do it.
