D800 musings....

The D800 is an amazing camera for the price. Indeed, many excellent images have been posted - street photography, birds, portraits, etc.
The only thing I find humorous is that, with an incredible 36 mpix available, we see web-sized images of things that "could have been taken with a D100". Of course, a number of folks have posted links to full-sized images and these are pixel-peep fantastic.
I really wonder how many folks buying these incredibly fine cameras like the D800, D4, 5D-III, 1Dx, etc will actually "use and display" the power available and only really result in images posted on their web page - which could effectively have been shot on a D1x or even a point-and-shoot?
Well, I guess this is really the iPhone generation - the technology is to be aggressively followed and acquired at all costs....
Now I really want a 60 mpix FF camera... Not sure why... I just do....
