I used to hand paint with transparent oils BW prints from my wet dark room.

You have indeed captured that art-deco era look in an excellent fashion in your image Flo Ziggie would be proud of that image.

One thing that I recall from the dedicated book on hand coloring traditional prints was to use a warm tone paper so blacks were a little on the warm (sepia) side for portraits to avoid cool shadows. I think I would do this digitally just a tad before applying color. Anyone else?

For this model the slight diffusion in the image adds to the glamor, another positive comment.
