lens choices for a Disneyworld trip
Mar 26, 2012

I'm hoping to snag an OMD EM-5 in a few weeks, and I'll be planning on going to Disney with the family the following month.

Now I currently own a Nikon V1 which because of its size is a great carry around camera. The OMD with the 12-50mm is just a little too big, heck I remember carrying my Nikon D70s and a tank of a lens. That got old real quick.

I'm thinking the Panasonic 14mm f2.5 along with the panasonic 20mm f1.7. The 14mm will give me an effect focal length of 28mm and the 20mm a 40mm EFF.

How do the panasonic lenses stack up against the Olympus? Oly has the 12mm, which looks decent focal length wise but I see no other "normal" primes.

Are the focal lens choices adequate for a trip to Disney or am I off base and should instead focus (pun intended on a zoom lens like the Olympus 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 II R?
