I'm thinking of going this route soon - do you have any recommendations for a compact easy-to-use and reliable router with built-in power? Or have you managed to find any workarounds for power etc. that you would recommend? Advance thanks for any info you may have to share
Hi Lazerbean, I looked up all the battery powered options on web/ebay. They last from 1-4x hrs then you can plug in a USB battery pack to continue. I in the end just use a spare router from the studio. Just plug it into the studio, clients office, factory socket. Not much larger than a paperback the modern routers are all perfectly portable. If away from mains for a while I use the direct mode on the Eye-Fi. If near your vehicle whilst out you can plug your router into an inverter in the car to create a network.
Enjoy the Eye-Fi experince. It does help in the creative process between client and photographer.
