Isn't it better and logical to think "Why no enough changes ?" than stubbornly denying or pretending 'it is improving' ?

If they set aside complacency "Oh, customer/ Canonian/ Nikonian has no alternative, he HAS to buy whatever fat glasses we drum-up..." kind of attitude.
