Sony lenses on Minolta X700

I have started an interest in film photography and now got a chance to buy a used Minolta X700 manual focus camera. What I wanted to know from you is whether the modern Sony and Sony mount third party lenses can perform on this camera properly. Will I get proper exposure with the modern lenses? Please give your advice. Thank you.
