Canon RED problems

One of the recurring problems I have with my Canon systems is getting a really good rendition of red. The last "really good red" I had was with the 1D-II. The 1D-III, 1D-IV and 5D-II (which has a weak selectivity CFA) seem to have a bland red and I cannot figure out how to improve it. I cannot figure out the hue, vibrance, staturation, and/or curves adjustment to fix the issue. Here is an image with a red that is no where as crisp and vibrant as it should be.

Does anybody have a magic pill to fix reds that goes beyond my poor skill levels??
