Well there is the ultra cheap Sigma 14mm f3.5...For example:

Or there is the more expensive Sigma 14mm f2.8 EX, or the new Samyang 14mm f2.8...Both well under half the price of the Canon, and both are good lenses.

2.I looked for a medium Tele: Few Canons, all priced sky-high for an amateur, or settle for third party cheaper versions. Despite high price, NONE are free of faults.

Tip...Buy used lenses...You can get excellent glass for a lot less outlay that way.

For instance, there are'nt many people that can afford to buy new Leica R lenses, which are nearly always excellent, so buying used is often the only way many can obtain them.

Thanks a lot for some practical solution based advice.
