I just take care of my equipment. I wipe fingerprints from the screen (usually with the proper cloth) when I put the camera away for the day. It's 5 months old and looks like new so far.

Although not the same ( ), buying a screen protector to cover the LCD reminds me of the people I knew growing up that put clear plastic over their brand new sofa--it kept it looking new but made horrible noises when siting on it and even though the sofa was new, the plastic made it look homely.

Whenever my folks got new furniture (or a new car), within a few weeks they would get a Fingerhut ad in the mail.

That stuff was nasty. It was hot and sticky in the summer and cold and sticky in the winter.
Now it appears that they are some kind of an Amazon pretender.
