D800 outselling the 5D3 by huge margins?

The cameras aren't equally available, so it's difficult to say how well they'll stack up. But in our store, we have received exactly 4x the Canon 5D3 as D800, and we sold out the day we received each of our two shipments from Canon. About one-fourth was kits with the 24-105.

The first day's shipment took care of our pre-orders, while the second shipment was all "call when in" or walk-in traffic.

We've filled about half of our pre-orders for the D800, so, as I said, it may be hard to figure how it will pan out.
