NX "Retro" rangefinder style camera?

There was some talk a while back about the introduction of a rangefinder-style NX, and there was even a sneak image of a prototype..... but then the concept kind of disappeared off the radar.

With the leaked images of the NX20 looking very much SLR'ish rather than RF style can anyone confirm if the rumoured RF NX is now firmly on the back burner?
