Willing Webcam and ERR 70
Mar 22, 2012

I've just installed a trial version of Willing Webcam. It enables remote control of EOS 7D via a computer and has some useful functions including motion sensing. The software looks great. Unfortunately, after taking my first photo I got an ERR 70 message on the camera which didn't go away after disconnecting the camera from the computer, turning it off and on again and re-installing the battery.
The solution turned out to be:
1. Change to one of the C!-C3 settings.
2. Turn camera off
3. Turn camera on

I would really like to use this software as the motion sensor could be so useful.

I have contacted the software developer who replied almost immediately and suggested that

"I don't have an access into the Canon software. It looks as a "black box" for me.

I have never got the error with my EOS 1000D. If I can't reproduce an error, I can't fix it,
even if the error on my side. I suspect that the error in the Canon software.

Has anyone else had this problem with this program? Anyone got a solution?
