Obiligatory Cat Picture with new D4

I finally got a chance to take my D4 out of the box, charge the battery and take the obiligatory first picture of my cat, Jasper.

I shot the photo in 14bit lossless compressed RAW and then did a jpg conversion using the beta version of Adobe Camera Raw 6.7.

You may not be able to tell it in the uploaded photo, but the original on the computer has an amazing amount of detail in his hair. I do see some improvement in detail from my D3S. I can only imagine what detail I will get when the D800 I ordered arrives.

The test of the D4 will come this weekend when I go shoot some aviation shots with it, which is what my normal subject matter is.
