Panny X 14-42 Problems

I've tried to absorb the threads on this topic, but I stil have questions.

I have a G3 with 14-45 and 20. I'd like to shave a few more grams and mm.

A used X 14-42 is staring me in the face at a silly price.

I'm not a lover of IS and mostly turn it off.

So what is the consensis on the X14-42 problems?

Are they over with the latest firmware?

There seem to be some good ones and I can test for a week before purchase.

Can you suggest tests for me to do?
