Trying to decide on kit lens when ordering the OM-D

Could someone help please. I am going to go with the new Olympus OM-D when available, but can't decide on which kit lens. Money is short, and on top of that I can save 7% through Ritz Camera because of being a student with NYI. Unfortunately they don't offer the camera with the 12-50mm kit lens, only the 14-42mm kit lens. Has anyone had experience with these lenses? I want to know if the IQ is similar between the two. I'm not concerned about the fact that the 12-52 is watertight etc. That isn't a problem where I live. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
