Nobody cares who makes the sensor now

but having thought about it I reckon it is the next gen Panny. The philosophy exactly matches what the Panny people were saying they have learned with the GH2 sensor and the G3 sensor, and would appear to be a synthesis (although whether they have got the read noise down with a better AFE on a G3, or found a cheaper way of having on board ADCs we shall have to wait and see).

The obvious objection to this is that Oly got it first, and Panny seem a bit mean with the sensors. However it looks like Panny have some new (not GH3) cameras in the wings, and for once Oly may have opened their wallet and shared the development cost.

We will see when the next Panny arrives.
