Why dpreview switched from 50/1.4 to 50/1.8 in latest Sony tests

but if the lens suffers from focus shift when closing aperture, you are focusing at one point (manually but at fully open aperture) and taking photo with a shifted focus when the aperture is automatically closed to take the shot. Tjis may have some impact at moderately open apertures f2 to f4

I myself sent them like a dozen email to make the switch, because the problem was pretty obvious for years. They did switch to F1.8 lens for C3 & 5N for the first time, and the difference was immediately obvious

I would think that the lens would be focused manually for such a test rather relying on AF.
