Apple's Magical Products

My original iPad, about 2 years old, is worth best case scenario according to Apple about 20% of what I paid. A mere 2 years later. If it has light scratches or scuffs or I made the mistake of engraving it, then about 10% of it's original cost.

And if you keep these devices (same pattern for the iPhone), the performance degrades over time. Apple just keeps pushing more bloated updates slowing the older versions. My iPad is a lot slower than the original magical, snappy device. And it crashes frequently. For $30 a pop I can speak to tech support who will tell me its 2 years old. Get a new one.

What's magical is the two year get a new one product cycle.
