Why buy from Amazon?

I'm a big Amazon fan (and Prime customer), but I have to chime in and say that in the last two or three years, their packaging has gotten extremely sloppy-and I'm talking only about things they actually sell and ship themselves. I too had a D7000 body shipped to me with NO extra packaging cushioning in the box, resulting in the boxed camera body sliding freely around the larger shipping box...unbelievable. That's not the first time something expensive I have bought from Amazon has not been packed properly.
