I've been selling a lot of stuff recently for that very same reason! Try starting out at the average eBay selling price (after searching the 'completed listings'). If you don't get any takers after the first week, lower the price $10 or $20, and repeat. As long as you don't need the money immediately, that seems to be the best way to get the most value for what you're selling.
And I would delete your old post and repost a completely new ad each time. Sometimes the prices shown on the main list page aren't always updated.

PS: Also, if you do decide to sell on eBay, the commissions that eBay takes on 'cameras & photo' are lower if you do a fixed-price listing, as opposed to an auction style listing.
