No, they did not forget anything. People asked for RAW only option (mainly to save card space) and this is exactly what Ricoh engineers implemented. DNG contains only basic preview image (640x480). Adding larger preview to DNG would be against request for RAW only option. 1:1 preview included in DNG would significantly increase the DNG size. If you need 1:1 preview, then simply enable RAW+JPEG option
