Next Lens for "Beginner"

Looking through some of my rejected photos, I can't agree more that this Tamron needs to take a long vacation. But I've been chicken to commit to a real lens. Thanks for the feeedback.

Would the 70-200 F/4 be sufficient indoors? I work in, at best, mid-level lighting for inside.
