Think I should use LR but can't sort a workflow suggestions

You might want to look at the LR4 DVD by Laura Shoe. She explains very clearly how and why you should set up your file/folder system. She makes you understand why the database system that LR4 uses is superior to the Windows folder system that many people use. If you are organized, you can marry the two together. I think it is worth the effort learn the LR4 way.
