A55 lens suggestions

I would definitely go for the Tamron 18-270mm. It's by no means fast, but it's versatility is immeasurably useful. In decent light it can also capture some good action shots. A quick ebay search shows this as in your price range:

If I didn't already own a Tamron 18-250mm I would definitely get this just for the PZD - I find my 18-250 quite loud when AF-ing, and not only during video either...
