I'm looking at moving to a Pentax k-5 from a Sony a33 for the improvement in image quality. I'm wondering about PDCU. Basically I've been a LR3 user, now LR4, but I'm not an actual fan of the software. I just have a Tamron 10-24mm, and it really needs the lens correction. I didn't really see batch options that utilizaed ptlens, dxo doesn't support my combo, and so that left me with LR.
I don't want something that takes over and owns my picture collection. I can do that on my open using smugmug and my local mirror. I just want a simple but raw conversion package that does automatic CA, lens correction, and a few other automatic fixes. Would PDCU fit that use case? Has Apple added lens correction to Aperature, or does ptlens work as a good plugin for it? Any other suggestions?
As long as I'm changing systems, I might as well look at software options...
Thanks!
