Another advantage of the Rode over this Polaroid mic is that the Rode had a light that stayed on when the mic was on. This one only flashes when you switch it, to tell you if there's battery power. This makes it easy to forget to turn off, and at some point it may run out of battery while I'm shooting and I won't know it. That will be disappointing.
