Show Your Snaps...March 12, 2012

We invite you again to show your own snapshots or even choice pictures.
Yesterday, I went out to one of the local wildlife preserves in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. I thought the weather might be good, but...wouldn't you know it...the rain just started when I got there. The pictures with the EF-S 18-55mm IS lens were taken with my new Canon T2i (550D) that I bought two days ago (my second one). I don't like changing lenses (particularly in the rain), so I now have two Canon T2i (550D) cameras for two EF-S lenses. In the first three pictures, these were taken while it was raining. The last three photos were taken after the rain had stopped. It was a miserable day (with my miserable cold), but I got out anyway. I was happy to catch an image of the chipmunk. This is my first one; they are much harder to capture with the camera than squirrels (at least for me in our area).
Oh, and sometimes I took them at ISO6400 or other crazy settings to see how the camera would perform. I've been known to take them at very low shutter speeds (which I often do); I only wanted to see what they would look like at high ISO levels and so forth. This is what I do when I get new cameras or sometimes just for about any reason or no reason at all.
We will start a new thread for this every week now due to the popularity. I'll be sure to comment also to your images, if you choose to share. Thanks everyone for your participation.
