auto extension tubes

I have a set of Kenko auto extension tubes... If I use them with a heavy 'ish lens, like the nikon 200mm micro, the weight of the lens often pulls on the data contacts enough to break the link... Is this a common fault and would I improve the situation if I got genuine Nikon rings
