Interesting! Looks too dark on the back for Yellow-legged, but that must be an artifact of the photo. I see that you've only c 500 pairs of Lesser-blacks (Birdlife International 2002) so Yellow-legged is certainly more likely! In my experience gulls are much more cautious with the more dangerous raptors - they treat our Peregrines with much more care than the Buzzards - perhaps your Spanish gulls are less discerning....!
