Is the 5D3 AF as fast as 1 series?

I'm not sure I trust what the rep says since he had barely any time to compare the cameras and he may have a false bias in his head (believing that the number of digics deterimines AF speed, which is false) but he claims that the 5D3 is not as fast focusing, even in single point, one shot mode, as even the 1D3 series never mind the 1D4 or 1DX.

How can that be if the AF CPU in the 5D3 is 4x faster than the one in the 1D4 and the 1DX/5D3 AF sensor baselines appear to allow for quicker focusing?

Has anyone heard a 100% definitive statement from Canon on the 5D3 AF speed yet?
