Knowing is Buying - Fuji's marketing strategy

It is nothing new and has been used heavily in the sports world. The more time you spend educating the viewer about what you are selling, the more likely they are to watch or buy something. This is very true in the sports world and IMHO, the tennis ATP exemplifies that.

And it seems that this is Fuji's strategy - put copies in the hands of a large number of people and have them write a review or show their photos. And it seems to have been very successful with lurkers and others (IMHO) just waiting to get their hands on the camera system. And it is free advertising.

Now don't get me wrong, as I am not criticizing Fuji in any way (I am an ex S1 Pro owner). The camera (system) is obviously a very good one. And the strategy has been superbly executed.

Anyway...now back to tennis!!!
