New camera D800, 5d mark iii, 1dx: different angle

Hi all,

I'm in the process of deciding what new camera to buy. I've been shooting for years with a Canon 20D which I've enjoyed. I have some L glass but not enough to tie me to a specific brand. I want to buy a new camera, full frame with faster AF and better ISO performance.

The 3 camera's I'm interested in are the D800, 5d mark iii or 1dx. Financially I'm able to afford either of these camera;s. I'm sure all 3 are stellar camera's that can take stunning pictures. It's the photographer that takes the picture and personally I believe with each of these 3 camera's I can do a perfect job. Probably doesn't matter if I shoot with Canon or Nikon.

However I am approaching the camera's/brands from a different angle. Would like some advice for which camera/brand I should go in terms of user friendliness. For instance are their specific things/features that one brand has which you like and the other doesn't, for instance, some easy controls one can excess by a press on the button instead of needing to go through the menu's to change it. Or some info in the view finder that is handy which doesn't gets displayed by the other brand. Some handy custom function that can be programmed etc etc.

Have done some research but I find it difficult to find such detailed info. Maybe Nikon and Canon have got so close over they years that perhaps the functions have become pretty much the same.

P.S. i've posted the same question on the Nikon forum. Don't want a "fight" on MP, autofocus accuracy etc, which probably is pretty much identical from both brands anyhow.
