White balance for sunset pictures
Mar 10, 2012

I'm trying to look at some photographs I took at sunset last weekend in LR3 and am having a difficult time deciding what the correct white balance should be. I'm generally pretty sloppy with white balance and usually just try to make the final image look good to my eye, but nothing I do can seem to get satisfactory colors. I shot RAW but didn't take any 18% grey card shots (like I said, I'm pretty sloppy with color), so I'm wondering if people have suggestions on what I can do to process the files I have now and what I can do in the future to make that processing more effective. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

I can also post the photograph in question if that would be useful. Thanks.
