I think the precise answer to the question is "not at all". If IQ is the cameras inherent ability to capture a good image, nothing can improve it. The FZ150 can generate two kinds of image files, in camera processed jpegs and RAW image files. There is probably little or no difference in IQ between some captured images but IMHO the best IQ for most images will be obtained by PPing RAW files. If the question were "How much can RAW and post processing improve on the FZ150's jpeg output IQ?" I'd say most of the time, more or less.

My question also referred to post-processing of the RAW files, and this is what I have been trying to do with Raw Therapee and Light Room, however I could not get the high ISO images to look reasonably good, at least in comparison to the equivalent images produced by the Canon, which makes be think that the RAW advantages are mainly related to exposure, and not so much to detail (as has been stated before). I've accepted therefore that the FZ150 has to be accepted with its lower IQ for high ISO, and that RAW cannot really help with that.

I can upload the JPGs that I arrived at, after PPing the RAWs. Again, if people would like to try their hand at the RAWs I uploaded initially, I'd be very curious to have a look at the difference between their and my final JPGs.
