HS30 review

http://www.photolife.com/blog/?p=6370

summary states :

Pros:
+ extreme zoom lens allows for shooting photos at wide-angle to extreme tele
+ manual adjustment of focal length with large lens ring
+ manual focusing with large lens ring (located near the body)

+ comfortable handling due to high resolution EVF, large mode and setup dials on the top of the body, and a lot of function elements/buttons on the back
+ swivel LCD screen

Cons:

  • very intense anti-noise filtering effects noticeable even in images taken with low-ISO speed setting

  • even though the center of the image shows nearly no chromatic aberrations, we noticed very intense colour fringing in the corners in the image.

This review is based on precise lab tests conducted by BetterNet GmbH and provided by the Technical Imaging Press Association (TIPA). TIPA is the largest family of independent photo and imaging magazines worldwide. Photo Life is an active member of TIPA.
